WE CAUGHT UP WITH HOMIE JASPER AFTER HE DID THIS!±!!!
-Can you tell us a bit behind the video for ALL JUNGLIST, how it was
shot, the story etc?
All Junglist was shot on my new Iphone 4s. I really like pushing
technology to its boundaries and this was the perfect project for it.
People think you need a big expensive camera to make a good music
video, for me it’s all in the idea, the camera is secondary. The
setting was a few of my mates had got together to rent a water mill
down in Wales, so we wizzed down on a coach from London and spent 24
hours together. I even got a few of the others to film too when my
phone ran out of battery. The tunes has got a real 90′s feel to it so
I wanted to cover that in this video.
-What are you working on at the moment?
I’ve just finished filming a music video for a band called KULT
CØUNTRY on a track called ‘Standard Place’. We shot the promo on an
old Panasonic VHS camera from 1987 in the Old Street squatted
magistrates court. It’s mainly shot inside the dilapidated cells and
interview room. The combination between the the age of the camera and
the location is going to give this video a really interesting
aesthetic, it’s kinda spooky. it’s being cut by my editor Jeanette
Suleiman at present.
-Were you ever a fan of Jungle or Bassline?
I was a Jungle fan but more so with Drum and Bass which was born out
of those genres when I was growing up.
-Who is your favourite music video director and who got you into videos?
i wouldn’t say I have a favourite music video director but more so
respect for people trying to make innovative content, thinking outside
of the box. It’s very easy to just want to make a glossy music video
without a story or even just a vibe.
-Can you hit us some links of music videos you love?
I was a big fan of the Chase and Status ‘Blind Faith’ promo

cameras and they used actors and managed to make it look like the real
thing, 90′s rave culture.
On a completely different style of music and video I thought The
Weeknd’s ‘The Knowing’ promo was very original

-Who is your favourite music video director and who got you into videos?
i wouldn’t say I have a favourite music video director but more so
respect for people trying to make innovative content, thinking outside
of the box. It’s very easy to just want to make a glossy music video
without a story or even just a vibe. I particularly like Michel
Gondry, Chris Cunningham and Spike Jonze’s work
