T-Pain ft. Joe Galaxy – Booty Wurk (One Cheek At A Time) [The Town Edit - Intro/Outro] by The Town™ [Karve & Kazey]
Hip hop for strip clubs…I’m down with that.
I first heard of French producer Kazey when he was making ridiculous bass-driven belters with Bulldog. ‘I Joke On You’ (Arcade Mode) put Yazoo’s ‘Don’t Go’ through a washing machine with a couple scoops of baltimore club percussion and a crazy guy yelling GOD DAMN over and over and was ultimately a hit… probably around 2006 but my memory of that year is well, blurry. French club music had never been so gangster. More recent tracks included ‘Big Truck’, sampling Pharoahe Monch’s ‘Simon Says’, released on legendary Glaswegian label Dress 2 Sweat (R.I.P.) and the epic refix of Liquid’s ‘Sweet Harmony’… which is enough to make any self-respecting girl strip to her underwear on the dancefloor. Who… me? Nooooo.
I’m still more than feeling this new stuff with Karve as The Town though. The intro to the Busta Rhymes remix of H.A.M is like some apocalytpic jawn you can imagine sounding out as God arm wrestles Satan on a cloud to save humanity from a fiery death. Probably one of the appropriate life moments to use the phrase ‘next level’. If you’re more of the sensual kind or get aroused by men who used to label themselves as ‘more to love’ back in the MySpace days then check out the coming together of The Walrus of Love (Barry White) and The Bawse (Rick Ross). You may be pleasantly surprised.
